the MEMORY meme
1. Post with a character and a description of 3 - 5 of their 10 lost memories. You could also just pick one and describe that single memory if that's too much for you!
2. Characters that reply to you do not see the memory, they experience it. As though from the POV of your character. Your character may or may not have regained that memory already/be aware of the other person experiencing it.
3. You're now face-to-face with the person whose memory you lived.

2) Convincing her father to send Iris to Hazakura Temple -- Things would be so much better financially with only two children around, and that woman he married would never agree to send her daughter away. So it has to be Iris! Isn't Dahlia's logic the best?
3) How to read an analog clock -- Using numbers to tell time? How does THAT work?

Kotarou
warmth and your father and a little draughty room with an expensive stick of incense, used up years ago, in the corner. Tobimaru's smell fills the place, fills your memories, so that it doesn't matter where you sleep or how hungry you are, when you curl up in a safe place with him, you're home.
2. 'Nanashi's hair is red'.
watching the black leach out of a scarred man's hair, running in rivulets down his back and staining the edge of the pool. You swallow, try to get angry about something to shut down the fear. The colour left behind isn't natural, the hair of a demon, but because it's on this guy, you aren't as scared as you should be.
3. biting off a Ming warrior's finger.
he grabs you, and the moment he does you know you're dead. So you bite, because Tobimaru isn't here to do it for you, and the soldier backhands you across the room. Tearing, surprised, you bite down harder. As you slam into a pillar and crumple to the ground, you can feel blood and torn flesh filling your mouth. If you weren't about to black out, you would retch.
Recette
100 pix, of course! You've bought enough of it to know that without Tear's lectures.
2. that you buy the best doughnuts in town from a butcher's.
you wonder why they sell them... but the doughnuts are so yummy!
3. that you buy low and sell high.
It's the basic rule of shopkeeping. Do you understand?

Sam!
You're in a back office of a retail store. You're leaning over a young man that's bleeding and broken, but he seems to be slowly healing. "Do it," you tell him. "I'd rather be cursed for eternity with you than fucked without you."
All at once he was biting hard onto your neck and it hurts worse than nearly anything else. But then the pain stops and you feel ill, invigorated, and desperate for more all at once. It takes some reminding for him to not drain you dry, and you collapse to the floor. There's some hazy conversation. About girls. The guy who had just bitten you just told you he was gay. And he has a boyfriend. "That's cool." Is really the only thing you can clearly make out.
But you feel like you're going to die. You can't move. Everything was so heavy and cold. He's freaking out. Making a call.
Some big older guy with a chiseled face came in. Gave you some of his blood. You're feeling better. Barely. And then you blacked out completely.
2)
You're standing in front of a mirror in a nice shirt. You're tying a necktie. Double oxford knot.
3)
Well-cooked food was all laid out in front of you. You pick up some morsel or another and pop it in. But it tastes horrific. It was dry, crumbled in your mouth, and you cough it back up again.

Set back in the late 19th century of Phoenix, Arizona. Enjoy those stiff, itchy, fancy clothes and standing ramrod straight for hours on end as King Ricardo von Britannia signs papers, makes wax seals and gives speeches to a newly unified Britannia. It's all a bit hum drum, even if is technically her birthday.
2. How to ride a horse.
Self-explanatory!
3. How to set a table.
As such!

You're cooking. There's a scale in front of you. You're pushing some buttons and now the scale is giving you amounts of ingredients to three decimal places. How precise of you!
2)
The shots missed you. But your little sister and your mother lower on the stairs were not so lucky. Your sister had been shielded by your mother, but only barely. Your sister's legs and hips were riddled with bullet holes. Your mother's entire body was bloody. All you can do is stare in horror. You're helpless to do a thing about it.

2) the Teutonic Knights -- The boy is loud, obnoxiously so, and he keeps trying to convert you. It's really getting to be too much, you're getting attacked whenever you come close at all. That's why you're uniting and becoming not a group of duchies but one; surely if you all resist together, he won't be able to hurt you.
3) Russia -- This boy is strange. It always seems cold around him, and your dog won't stop barking. You've seen him from a distance a few times, playing with two girls who live closer to you, but you've only met once. A promise on a bridge that he would be friends when he was stronger, that only the strong can have friends. You don't understand what he means.

Everyone is yelling and cheering and jumping up and down, and you are so proud of yourself, of Duncan McConnell who scored the winning points, of the entire team. You and two other guys lift Duncan into the air, and the cheering gets louder.
2. Cassie Lang's (apparent??) death.
By the time you got there, it was too late. One of your best friends is dead, and there is absolutely nothing you can do about it.
3. The day Teddy realized he wasn't normal.
Your friend Ben just fell off his bike. You watch him get up, and you can tell he's trying not to cry. His elbow is bleeding, and you stare at it, morbidly fascinated. Why hasn't the skin knit itself back together? Why is blood still dripping onto the pavement?
4. Teddy's relationship with Billy.
This memory is a relationship montage. You and Billy are holding hands, kissing, cuddling, reading comics together, fighting, making up, killing virtual zombies together, having a potato chip battle, killing real zombies, going holiday gift shopping together, sneaking away from a fight to make out in an alley all dirty and bloody, lighting a small menorah together, napping together on the couch, arguing about the exact meaning of a Magic: the Gathering card.
5. All of the lyrics to Vanilla Ice's seminal classic Ice Ice Baby.
Suddenly, you remember all the words to Ice Ice Baby.

You're screaming. Definitely inhumanly, something more like a savage beast. There's a giant bludgeony-type weapon in your hands, with lots of spikes on it. And you're bashing in the heads of waves upon waves of bizarre, not-quite-human monsters.
2. The multiples of 5.
He's sitting there, doing paperwork. Lots of paperwork. Stacks and stacks of it. How you can even get this much workload from an organization with only thirteen members is a total mystery, but there's a lot to be sorted out, apparently.
3. He once had a friend named Lea.
Two boys, maybe around fourteen, are hanging out together in a clean town square. Maybe they're chasing one another around, or pranking other people, or just sitting around and talking, but they look like they're having a good time. They've obviously known one another for ages.

You shout like a madwoman as you drive him back. You've forgotten everything you've scraped together about swordfighting and it doesn't matter because a righteously angry fire has ignited in your lungs and spills out of your mouth in that shout. Needless to say, he's surprised. This is deviating from the script. Your sorroundings, attentive to his moods, begin to crumble. Even the architecture is unable to resist Akio's will in that way. Only you remain defiant.
He shoves his sister at you, an action that redefines what depths you think are possible to sink to. Behind you, then. You are her shield. You will save her. But what you actually feel is the sword slip through your ribcage. It fits so easily there, you think. Like key and keyhole. Husband and wife. You hit the floor still scrabbling for purchase from the betrayal. Even knowing this, you will still claw at him if he comes close enough.
[The name of every song she heard on the radio when she was at Ohtori]
Sometimes you and the Rose Bride stay up late at night, listening to weird old songs on your little 50s style radio. You're pretending to study and she's pretending to dust. But you know you'll barely coast through your subjects and she knows dust hasn't succesfully dared show its face in your little dorm suite since she moved in with you.
Then haunting cello comes on, and a husky woman's voice, telling a scene straight out of a fairy tale. The hunter doesn't spare the poor deer's life though. No wishes are granted. It builds to a throbbing, manic finish, and you can imagine those furry legs frantically twitching, scrabbling for life.
She seems to know all the words and is humming along and singing.
"You know, Utena-sama, I know how that deer felt." She says and for a few moments you're struck dumb. This is the first unsolicite d opinion you can recall her ever giving. When asked for further comment though she pretends to have to go to the bathroom. Standing sillhouetted in the doorway, you think you can hear her whisper: "As you will too.". But she's gone before you can confirm it.
[The names of everyone she met in Ohtori]
When you wake up in the hospital bed, you realize how many things are missing. You chase after them, closing your eyes, trying to catch them. But they run like rainwater between your fingers. Even cupped hands leak eventually.
Have they been scattered to the winds too or are they still trapped there, playing out a clockwork doll show for whom the principal actor is missing? And how will you find and save them either way?
You are sick in a way that has nothing to do with the antibiotics as you realize that you have no choice about whether to do so. It's the role you chose.
First one! Sorry it took so long for me to get to you
