• Fletcher's hat was made by his mother, but she died before she could properly finish it. HENCE IT IS THE TOPLESS WONDER WE ALL KNOW AND LOVE.
  
• One time when Fletcher was six he stole a candy bar from a corner store, then ate it all in one gulp so Russel wouldn't find out. He got a stomachache afterward.
  
• Russel and Fletcher's father coded his alchemy notes as unsent letters to his sons. This is mainly to explain why the diary page at the end of the series makes no sense if you actually try to read it.
  
• Fletcher is the greatest tree-climber ever. Seriously do not even challenge him to a tree-climbing contest, you will lose.
  
• Even though he was forbidden from practicing alchemy for most of his childhood, he still practiced in secret.
